
Lois attended Westfield State College in western Massachusetts where she received her bachelor’s
degree in 1977, double majoring in elementary education and psychology. She attained her master’s
degree in special education from the University of Southern Maine in 1980. She has had experience
teaching in both mainstream, and special education classrooms. She attained her Psy.D. in clinical
psychology at Wright State University in Ohio in 1988. Her extensive career has included working with
children in inpatient, residential, day treatment, and public school settings. In her free time Lois enjoys
playing fiddle, hiking with her adult children, playing pickle ball, biking, kayaking, and skiing.
